In addition to the produce grown throughout North Seattle, in our yard and the yards of our #LandDonors, our CSA recipients have also enjoyed the fruits of Nils and Geena's labor - our partner growers at #MeadowMossFarm in Shelton. This season I would walk thru the garden and see a leaf and say, that's pretty. Or I would see a shoot and comment that it was so cute. I would work around a long and lean stem and really see proof that something beautiful was bound to result. Observe the start of a bloom and I'd think aloud it was really lovely. And each time Jon would say that's a sunflower and laugh a bit. So tonite, as I took this picture during my mid-evening garden break I realized...I have become a lover of the dreaded sunflower.  Plum fruit leather - just what you need to get the kid to come running! The final weeks for our CSA delivery shares are upon us and this week we have some super tasty goods ready for your consumption! Ready for delivery TOMORROW (Friday), between 11a-2p This week we are offering a combination of cucumbers, zucchini, green beans, tomatoes, collards, kale, poblano peppers, jalapeno, beets, plums, apples, eggplant and more (Jon is out in the world harvesting as I type) = $45 Add on some Lagana pasta for $7 or Rainy Day Bees honey for $12 for an extra special treat. Send us your order request with address (special delivery instructions is applicable) and cell and we will confirm your order and send along a PayPal payment request. There are certainly worse ways to pass the time. This yard space is an oldie but goodie and has yielded tomatoes, onion, kale, berries, plus beautiful flowers for our weekly deliveries. #LandDonorsRock #SunshineGardening #Grateful |
