Hello, everyone!
We know it's been quiet on the Jon the Farmer outreach front, but it has been anything but quiet behind the scenes. As many of you know, we purchased a small plot of land in Puyallup and made the family move, so that we could have some say in our future and grow, grow, grow food. Gone are the days of landlords for us - which we know will benefit our CSA ShareHolders, FreshList'ers and SponsorFamily folks, too!! In the spirit of working towards a better and better experience for you - our supporters - we ask you to please take 5-minutes to complete our end-of-season survey (it can be found in the comments). Your feedback will help us mold what the upcoming Spring season will look like, how we navigate the length of season, the manner in which you receive your food and what food options we will work towards updating. We really cannot communicate how excited we are for the upcoming season and to have the opportunity to feed you and your loved ones, again! Thank you! Jon & Dawn Larson Jon the Farmer - Urban Farmer (206)612-6895 Jon the Farmer - Urban Farmer acknowledges that we live, work & grow our produce on the unceded and traditional lands of the first people of Seattle and Puyallup, the Duwamish and S'Puyalupubsh People. We honor with respect the past and present of the land itself and its tribe.

Rain or shine, we are getting it going! So much work to be done, but it is ours and it will be for YOU!! Can't wait to see our Seattle CSA members come Spring!!
#UrbanGardening #KingPierceCounty #Grateful URGENT - applications must be submitted by tomorrow, Friday, 10/29!! We hope to one day be able to participate in this program - but in the meantime, it doesn't mean the word shouldn't be spread to those individuals that are in need of fresh veggies for their households.
#LiveTheExample #ShareTheWealth #FeedYourCommunity https://www.seattlefreshbucks.org/... We have the honor of being interviewed for a grant from Fairlife!! This will be our first go at working towards success in the grant sector and are asking for assistance towards cost of a new greenhouse - which will allow greater food growth, earlier in the season. In turn, we will be able to reach more and more families - both CSA membership and sponsorship families. Wish us luck!!
Here is bit more about what the #Fairlife Grant Program supports: https://fairlife.com/what-we-believe/grant-program/.... Things have been quiet on the JTF front, as the season has ended. Sadly...this is what we've been up to - turning the gardens back to grass. On the brightside - now that we have moved to a home we own, with a larger growing space - next year we will be back and stronger than ever!! Thank you to everyone on this page - whether you have purchased a share, donated a share or helped with growing food for the community. We do this work with humility and appreciation.
#GrowYourFood #FeedYourCommunity #UrbanGardenForLife Happy Birthday to Jon the Husband, Jon the Father, Jon the Son, Jon the Farmer. May 47 bring growth, laughter, compassion and peace.
Darn...wish I would have found this a bit sooner. Super helpful for all the lovely varieties and colors us gardeners grow. Perhaps this can be helpful to you!!
#SoMuchGoodStuff #UrbanGardenersUnite Now that's a tomato!! Today is bittersweet - as we wrap up the formal CSA with our final deliveries. What a wonderful season - can not wait to get back to it in the Spring (after we take a moment to catch up on life).
#Grateful #CSAMembersRock #WeWillBeBack This is Bob. He and his wife were one of our early supporters - heck you probably have eaten tomatoes or raspberries or kale or squash that they grew just for the community (not to mention this gigantic cauliflower). Bob was enthusiastic about atmospheric science, had a deep understanding of global warming and a love of sailing. As we honor his memory - we ask that each of us remember, everyday we can grow and learn more and work to be better human beings - being human. Thank you, Bob for the time we got to spend knowing you.
#GardeningBuildsCommunity #BobCharlsonLivesOn Another harvest dish! Eggplant parmigiana! Thanks to Chef Beaumont.
