This is Bob. He and his wife were one of our early supporters - heck you probably have eaten tomatoes or raspberries or kale or squash that they grew just for the community (not to mention this gigantic cauliflower). Bob was enthusiastic about atmospheric science, had a deep understanding of global warming and a love of sailing. As we honor his memory - we ask that each of us remember, everyday we can grow and learn more and work to be better human beings - being human. Thank you, Bob for the time we got to spend knowing you.

Another harvest dish! Eggplant parmigiana! Thanks to Chef Beaumont.
#SharingIsCaring #FeedYourSoul #CSAMembersRock In addition to the produce grown throughout North Seattle, in our yard and the yards of our #LandDonors, our CSA recipients have also enjoyed the fruits of Nils and Geena's labor - our partner growers at #MeadowMossFarm in Shelton.
As we approach the end of the season (two weeks to go) - we look forward to continuing this win-win and building more and more community through food sharing. #GrowFoodNotLawns #PartnerGrowers #Grateful A little green Italian roasting pepper, egg from our ladies, potatoes, onion, green tomato, pear and toast. Flavorful and filling. Yum!
#GrowYourBreakfast #HarvestMorning #Thankful I know someone(s) that this just might apply to - thank goodness!!
Oh and FreshListers - check your inbox (3 weeks to go!) #FreshIsTheBest #WeCantAllBeTheSame #RowsCanBeBoring Many of my friends know sunflowers freak me out. Like since I was a kid. This season I would walk thru the garden and see a leaf and say, that's pretty. Or I would see a shoot and comment that it was so cute. I would work around a long and lean stem and really see proof that something beautiful was bound to result. Observe the start of a bloom and I'd think aloud it was really lovely. And each time Jon would say that's a sunflower and laugh a bit. So tonite, as I took this picture during my mid-evening garden break I realized...I have become a lover of the dreaded sunflower.
