A nice #BlackfishSpiritsDistillery nip should be a nice way to end today's session of seed packing-orama! #FarmToSip #SeedUp2023
We are looking for 15 more participants to take this year's #TheGreatAmericanSeedUp to the next level.
We have 17+ varieties of non-GMO, adaptable, heirloom seeds with each bundle. Plus, there will be follow-ups throughout the year to keep you inspired and tips to make the most of your growing efforts. Looking to get costs about $27 per bundle - but the more participants the better!!! Reach out via DM or email [email protected] today!! www.jonthefarmer.com The kid's back at it....we are reconfiguring the green house layout this season for easier access and mobility. We're excited to see the final product, when the time comes.
#UrbanFarmer #SmallFoodGrower #GetTheKidsInvolved We enjoyed an arugula and egg salad (with green olives and cherry toms), plus potatoes and carrots glazed with #RainyDayBeesHoney
#FoodIsALoveLanguage #GrowFoodNotLawns #SupportSmallFoodGrowers We are excited to announce we are back with the Great American Seed Up project for 2023!! This is our third year of participating and the second year offering it up to our customers. As before, the MORE PARTICIPANTS WE HAVE, THE LOWER THE AVERAGE COST PER VARIETY is passed along to you. Last year, we had 30 households receive 18-varieties of seeds - with an average cost of $1.25 per variety!! So what's included this year? Broccoli - Green Sprouting Calabrese Cucumber - Marketmore 76 Lettuces - Black Seeded Simpson, Mesclun mix, Red Cimarron (romaine) Mustard - Southern Giant Curled Onion - Nebuka (bunching) Pea - Sugar Snap Radish - French Breakfast Squash - Dark Green Zucchini (summer), Early Prolific Straight Neck (summer) Butternut Basil - Italian Large Leaf Cilantro - Slo-Bolting Parsley - Curled Forest Green Flowers - Cut flower mix, Edible flower mix Sunflower Each variety will have a good amount, so sharing is definitely welcome, and the pollinators will LOVE all of these seed picks (in various stages: while they are growing, while they are actively fruiting, and as they go to seed). Currently, there is a total of 18 non-GMO varieties and we will likely be adding more into the mix, as we get everything separated. A few things we ask - we'd love if you'd spread the word about this great project - as you know, we are passionate about not only growing food ourselves, but about people of all walks of life growing and sharing food. Oh, and seed bundles make great gifts, too! If you'd like to learn more about the Great American Seed Up, we encourage you to visit: www.GreatAmericanSeedUp.org/learn today! In the meantime - please let us know if you'd like to participate this year by simply sending a PM or an email to [email protected] by TUESDAY, JANUARY 31st - as we will need to start sorting all those lovely seeds out. We anticipate a total cost of $27 per person (with delivery included) - but hope to bring that down, as we gain more partners in this food-growing revolution!!! SPREAD THE WORD and Help us Grow!!
