This butterfly in our greenhouse made me think of the transformation we see as the season goes on.
It's been tough, in so many ways, for so many small food growers - ourselves and partners included. It's been cold and rainy for much longer than we've experienced and it has certainly made many of us feel like we are not being our best selves. This work can be isolating and make you second guess yourself as costs continue to climb and people forget the value of knowing where their food comes from. But now the sun comes out, the veggies start to burst with abundance and each week reminds us why we do what we do. So we look to this lovely creature as a sign that we are doing what we intend to do - grow food for the community - because we all deserve access to fresh food. And this is but another transition to something beautiful and bigger than any one of us. #ThanksForListeningToMyTEDTalk #GrowingFoodIsNotForTheFaintOfHeart #GratefulForYourSupport
