When I was a kid (oh no...here we go), we had after school specials. You know the ones - shows that taught us latchkey kids of the world about kindness and being friends and not accepting candy from strangers. All good lessons. Around here we have "Dad School". Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's hard work, sometimes the kids even like it.
