The first few tomatoes cropped up while we were away. Of course, Jon had to drive home to check on everything, so he brought some back for us to try. Yum!!!

Getting the teens involved!

The nice thing about having a teen son - he has friends. And when they aren't gaming, they're using those teamwork skills for various projects. This upcoming season, we are looking to create our own fish emulsion brew, so getting someone just the right size to fit in the tanks to get them cleaned out was needed. Hooray for teens, even if we can't get them to open their eyes for a photo (or 10)!!

Full share and Team A folks.... it's tote time! Pictured is this week's share - to note, every share has a few tweaks (for instance, our non #LaganaFoods folks will have mushrooms, instead). We are still finishing up some processing, so there may even be a bit more!!

This butterfly in our greenhouse made me think of the transformation we see as the season goes on.
It's been tough, in so many ways, for so many small food growers - ourselves and partners included. It's been cold and rainy for much longer than we've experienced and it has certainly made many of us feel like we are not being our best selves.
This work can be isolating and make you second guess yourself as costs continue to climb and people forget the value of knowing where their food comes from.
But now the sun comes out, the veggies start to burst with abundance and each week reminds us why we do what we do.
So we look to this lovely creature as a sign that we are doing what we intend to do - grow food for the community - because we all deserve access to fresh food.
And this is but another transition to something beautiful and bigger than any one of us.
