​Had a snow day down south so enjoyed a lovely lunch during my remote day. These Longkeeper tomatoes really do fit their name - we've been enjoying them for nearly two months!
We will definitely be offering these starts in the Spring - so you can grow and enjoy your own tomatoes into the winter months.

​Wow...the numbers are in! Despite having a smaller amount of harvesting this year, we were able to contribute over 1000 lbs of fresh produce to FamilyWorks Family Resource Center & Food Banks and Sumner Community Food Bank!!
In addition to the fresh produce, our partner Lagana Foods also donated over 200 fresh pastas!
Can't wait until we are running 100% for 2023 to see what additional difference we can make in our communities!!

FamilyWorks has been on the frontlines of community response throughout these difficult years, advocating for the safety and wellness of our city’s most marginalized residents every day. In the first three quarters of this year, FamilyWorks’ programs and services have reached nearly 8,000 people in our community, already a 13% increase over the number of families and neighbors we served in all of 2021.

As each of us grapples with uncertainty and rising inflation, FamilyWorks finds new ways to show up for our community.
When food donations are down, we grow our partnerships with local farms, providing the fresh, high-quality produce that our participants need.
When families face barriers getting to our location, we pivot to reach families where they are, through our Mobile Food Pantry and Satellite Family Resource Center at Nathan Hale High School.
