In honor of World Poetry Day - Growth

​We all came from somewhere
We will land in the same place, too
Regardless of the water we're bathed in
Or the attention we are shown
Each moment welcomes a chance to grow
We all awaken to the same sun
We all close our eyes to the same moon
Regardless of what we dream at night
Or the amount of light bestowed
Each new day provides us the choice to grow
So, as we all experience the same world
We may find each of our worlds a bit different
Regardless of who's right and wrong
Or the many stories we have always told
Each season brings a new possibility of growth
