What a great season it has been! It's wild to think that the season is now coming to a close with your final delivery this Thursday, October 6th. Those of you that pushed out a week - you're final delivery will be October 13th.
Jon and I want to take a moment to express our true gratitude for taking this ride with us - to say this season was one filled with a few challenges would be an understatement. Heck, even before we were able to harvest and deliver your season's share - we moved to a new home, built a huge greenhouse, turned over new soil and then.....a long, dreary, cold and very, very wet Winter and start to Spring, followed by heatwaves!! What in the world??
But we did it and you did it, too!!
We want to ensure that everyone ends their season with their two totes (and perhaps you can bring those around town and help spread the good word about Jon the Farmer and what we got going on in the world of CSAs)! No need to put your tote out for your next delivery and make sure to keep the one that's provided with your share.
So....what's next?? Although the formal CSA season is closing up, we will continue the FreshList harvest offerings (for as long as it feels appropriate) to each person that has participated with us this year. We will be offering up Grab-n-Go options, with pick-up locations throughout North Seattle and Puyallup farm pick-ups. Members and FreshList folks will be the first informed of contents and location (and you can pre-purchase your share). You will also be able to purchase Rainy Day Bees honey, organic eggs and merchandise.
In the coming weeks we will be sending out a survey to help us know what went well and what could use some help. And be sure to start thinking about veggies you would like to see us grow next year - we are open to suggestion!
We hope that you will choose to renew your CSA membership in the Spring - but until then.....
