Something I recently learned: by harvesting your veggies early, while the temperature is still low, the natural sugars are better preserved, are more crisp and they're most juicy (and the harvester doesn't melt). #DawnsHotTake #KidsGrowFoodToo #LoveYourFood   Last night we enjoyed fava beans (grilled and uncooked, both), the early round of Sun Gold tomatoes, mushroom risotto, lettuce and lovely edible flowers. Hidden away under the lettuce there were a few raspberries, too. Oh and eggs - this time from #CleanFoodFarms. #GrowFood #FoodIsALoveLanguage #IAmALuckyLady  Dinner last night was a delicious combination of partners and our own good stuffs!! Thanks to #SpringHillFarms for the carrots #LaganaFoods for the pasta, #CleanFoodFarm for the chicken bone broth. The fact that so much mental separation occurs between where food is grown and it being served at our tables has a HUGE disconnect!
